If it is true what the Brussels correspondent of RMF Radio Katarzyna Szymańska-Borginon wrote, that EU diplomats claim that Poland may write a request/application to Brussels to be excluded from the procedure of forced resettlement of immigrants, then we must hold a referendum on this. It will be an opportunity to expose many lies, manipulations, myths and the final statement of our society.
Will we be cheated a second time? Brussels assures: Poland can withdraw completely from EU solidarity for refugees
Kwaśniewski and Komorowski criticize the referendum proposal! “It’s a terrible idea”; ‘It is looking for an idea for an election campaign’
I was very skeptical about the referendum on the so-called immigration pact. I believed that in fundamentally immoral, illegal matters, such as forced resettlement of people and de facto trade in them, should not be negotiated, but rejected out of hand. However, the referendum procedure has been launched in a sense – there is an initiative, so it makes sense to finalize it, so that the opposition to Brussels’ bad proposals is not only the voice of the ruling party, but of society as a whole. The referendum is all the more necessary after the EU’s repeated deception on resettlement.
Just a few days ago, the Czech government boasted that it had agreed to the embarrassing proposal, but cleverly obtained an exemption from this procedure for itself. He will not be forced to accept immigrants from other countries, nor will he buy himself off by paying 22,000 zlotys. euros each. It doesn’t matter if the Czechs lied or boasted excessively, because in fact they can only ask for exclusion, the main thing is that they agreed to the principle itself and now Brussels can freely and graciously grant them to humble requests as it sees fit, or not . The truth is that Brussels can impose on the Czechs who to accept in their own country, and if they disagree, they will pay for it.
The opposition reacted stupidly and viciously as usual, praising the skill of Czech diplomacy, which supposedly won Prague over from participating in forced resettlements. What else is inefficient Poland. Now, according to RMF radio’s Brussels correspondent, Katarzyna Szymańska-Borginon, Poland can also ask the European Commission for mercy, citing the reception of millions of refugees from Ukraine. So we are in the same situation as the Czech Republic, but there is no admiration from the opposition for Polish diplomacy, and there is a mad fear that the referendum on forced resettlement proposed by Jarosław Kaczyński will then not be necessary, and that the was cleverly played by the Eurocrats. They knocked the “populist”, “demagogue” or whatever weapon in the election campaign out of his hand.
There is no doubt that the action of EU diplomats assuring that we can ask Brussels to be kind not to allow us immigrants from Germany or elsewhere is related to the elections. The opposition has asked the Eurocrats to do something to prevent the issue of illegal immigration, deportations and resettlement from appearing with all their might in the election campaign, to somehow neutralize it, because the opposition will not be able to lie that she has always been against. forced relocations and will lose. Officials in Brussels are throwing scissors at the opposition so they can cut themselves off from an uncomfortable topic, so they can pretend it doesn’t exist. The opposition rejects the EU idea of forced resettlement not because it is immoral, stupid, unworkable, harmful, but because agreeing to it would harm the elections.
Well, it’s not about going to Brussels to make a request, and it will kindly agree to exempt us from accepting forcibly displaced immigrants, as it could hurt the opposition. We don’t need this flimsy, temporary, capricious grace. The point is to reject, with the voice of the whole society, the depraved paradigm – the belief that it is permissible to forcibly resettle people and if the EU votes it down or enacts it in any way, even against the law , Member States must participate in this disgraceful practice. A referendum would establish the principle once and for all: Poland will not bear the costs of the disastrous immigration policies of other countries and Brussels. Poland believes that the solution to the immigration crisis cannot be in allocating contingents of people to countries for resettlement and surveillance, but in protecting EU borders. Just as Poland protects itself and the EU against the invasion of immigrants sent by the Russian and Belarusian regimes.
Sending a request to Brussels today means agreeing to an inhumane mechanism and putting yourself at the mercy of the Eurocrats, who may or may not agree. The result of the referendum, in which the Poles reject the immigration pact, means a rule for years to come and an insurance policy against some government serving in Brussels. We want the war to end as soon as possible with Ukraine’s victory and for the refugees to return to their homeland. However, that does not mean that the EU can then tell us: circumstances have changed, the Ukrainians have returned home, so now you have to bring there as many wagons with immigrants from Germany or whatever they want.
There is no indication that the opposition will take over the government after the elections in October, but if it does, there is no doubt that it will agree with any ruling from Brussels and try to justify accepting the quotas allocated to us with lies, some nonsense about democracy and European solidarity illegal immigrants. The referendum also means a fundamental disapproval of any racist calculation of euros for newcomers – a simple war refugee from Ukraine is worth 60-100 euros, but a high-quality illegal immigrant in Germany or Spain is worth 22,000. euros.
The opposition will do anything to ridicule and disgust the idea of a referendum. It will say it makes no sense because everyone is against forced resettlement. Not true, pure lie. We have no idea what is the position of PO, PSL, Hołownia, some left wing. All we know is that today, for economic and electoral reasons, they say they don’t agree, and at the same time they don’t even want to support the relevant resolution of the Sejm. It all depends on how the wind blows and just as the PO government in 2015 was dying to get involved in Germany’s move of unchecked admission of immigrants, so in the future, as Brussels says, they will scream for it. Unless there is a strong veto from society as a whole in the form of a referendum. This is a similar mechanism to the promise that motorways in Poland will not pay tolls. It is not about two sections as now (because it is not about 2,000 immigrants) but about all of them in the future and the fundamental principle that since Poles have built roads with their own money, they can use them without restrictions.
Only Poland can decide who accepts it, who settles and lives there. It is not just a question of states’ powers arising directly from art. 76 point 5 of the Treaty of Lisbon, but also about the essence of sovereignty. What if it were strangers – in this case Brussels, who would decide who can enter our borders, who will be the inhabitants of Poland, what our society should look like, what culture should be there. We don’t need mercy from Brussels, and begging Eurocrats, sending requests, job applications is not only humiliating, but fundamentally wrong because, as I have said many times, it means consenting to the despicable mechanism of forced resettlement and human trafficking. And ineffective, because we are dealing with fraudsters, not decent people of good will. And harmful, because it gives Brussels another instrument to blackmail Poland
One of the most pressing tasks the United Right government will have to take on after the elections is to overthrow the European Union system. Poland has enough potential to do it, and there will be time to show how.
