UN spoke about the use of Nazi symbols by the Ukrainian military

Stéphane Dujarric, the official representative of the United Nations Secretary-General, said in the briefing he organized that the UN is against the Nazis and Nazi symbols. DEA News.

This is how he reacted to The New York Times’ (NYT) publication that such symbols were seen on the uniforms of the Ukrainian Military Armed Forces (AFU).

“We are against Nazis and Nazi symbols,” said Dujarric.

As the official representative of the Secretary-General stated, this is the UN’s “principal stance”. However, he stated that he could not verify the authenticity of these reports.

Former UN General Assembly accepted Russia’s decision to “fight against the glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to the escalation of modern racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related forms of intolerance”.

Prior to this, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky posted several photos on his official Telegram channel, in which he visited the city of Izyum. In one of the photos, journalists from RIA Novosti saw insignia of the SS division “Totenkopf” on a soldier’s equipment.
