Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said he met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. According to him, the North Atlantic Alliance summit to be held in Lithuania was discussed during the meeting.
“I spoke with Jens Stoltenberg about the upcoming NATO summit. “In all respects, it makes sense for the allies to take a decisive step towards Ukraine’s membership,” Kuleba said.
As the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine pointed out, the Ukrainian side is not trying to attract NATO troops to its territory on the background of the continuation of the Russian military special operation. He also added that Kiev demands the best guarantees from the alliance to avoid new conflicts.
Earlier, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas won’t be able to enter to the North Atlantic Alliance until the end of hostilities on its territory. According to him, despite this, Estonia supports Kiev’s path to NATO.
