Belarus fails to get seats as non-permanent member of UN Security Council

Belarus could not get enough votes to give the country a seat in the UN General Assembly as a non-permanent member of the organization’s Security Council for the years 2024-2025, Slovenia went to membership. It has been reported TASS.

It was recorded that Slovenia received 153 votes and 38 votes for Belarus.To win, all 193 General Assembly members of the country must receive at least two-thirds of the votes.

In addition, Algeria, Guyana, Sierra Leone and South Korea were elected non-permanent members of the Security Council without alternatives.
