Nobody will declare Giertych as part of the Senate pact – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on RMF FM, referring to the issue of Roman Giertych’s nomination for the Senate.
Giertych wants to go to the Senate
Former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Education (in 2006-207) and former leader of the League of Polish Families, Roman Giertych, who has been out of politics since 2007 and works as a lawyer, announced on social media that he intends to run for the Senate in his own committee from the Poznań district. He added that he counted on the support of the opposition groups who communicated within the framework of the Senate Pact.
In an interview on RMF FM, Włodzimierz Czarzasty said directly that no one has reported and will not report Roman Giertych as part of the Senate pact.
I know very well the course of the debate on the Senate Pact. There are 254 people reported in the original form of the Senate Pact, right now it’s obviously in a different phase. Roman Giertych was not nominated, what’s more, there were no arrangements, no one has filed a case regarding the fact that in the potential district where Giertych will rule, the Senate Pact will not put out a candidate. I say this with full responsibility. It seems to me that the Senate pact will produce candidates in all 100 districts. It may be that in the case of independent senators it will either be a formula so that these senators get the support of a party or we will sign a senatorial pact with them
– said Czarzasty, adding that “No one has reported Roman Giertych and no one will report him.”
I don’t know if anyone wants to take responsibility for it. The left certainly won’t report Mr. Giertych or Mr. Petru
he assured.
ALSO CHECK:
– 73 percent of respondents do not want Roman Giertych to return to politics. Opposition opinions are divided
— Petru and Giertych are on their way to the Senate. Budka stops their aspirations: if you want to fight, PiS guys, go to Podkarpacie
– Will this be the opposition’s programme?! Giertych presents “Roman’s Ten”. It assumes, among other things, delegalization of PiS and demolition of monuments to L. Kaczyński
Cooperation pact after the elections
Włodzimierz Czarzasty also commented on Tusk’s march. The politician stressed that it would not lead to a joint opposition list, because Szymon Hołownia and Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz had no interest in such a solution.
If half a million people want cooperation – I have seen it, if people shout “united opposition”, then I will win the proposal from the left, which is to sign an agreement so that the opposition does not attack itself during the campaign and after the elections will form a government. It must be done immediately. People demand it. They need to understand that no matter which opposition list they vote for, their vote will not be lost
– appealed against the Deputy Chairman of the Sejm.
Let’s show the people two days after this march that we are capable of keeping such a promise to these people, that we are serious
Czarzasty said:
The politician also pointed out that the flow in the electorate is from opposition to opposition – the opposition is not winning over Law and Justice voters.
We stir with a spoon in the same opposite tea. We – neither Donald Tusk, nor Lewica, nor Hołownia, nor Władek Kosiniak – can win the PiS voters. We have to learn how to make choices
– be the co-chair of the New Left.
Czarzasty encourages the opposition to sign the pact
The next step after the march on June 4 should be the signing of a cooperation pact by the opposition after the elections, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, the co-chair of the New Left, deputy chairman of the Sejm, said in an interview with PAP.
The leaders of PSL and Poland 2050 – Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Szymon Hołownia – also participated in the Sunday March in Warsaw, which was organized by PO. It was also attended by politicians from the left, including Vladimir Czarzasty. In an interview with TVN24, Borys Budka, the president of the Civic Coalition, pointed to the presence of various circles at the event, including leaders of other political formations.
You can have different views on how to achieve electoral success, but one thing is certain: the voters expect us to work together and we showed today with this march that we are open, that we know very well that we have to win the election
– he said.
Czarzasty stressed in an interview with PAP that no one is currently proposing a joint opposition list.
There is of course a chance for cooperation. We have always – as the left – been in favor of cooperation, and an example of this cooperation, and this is something we are proposing, is the signing of the parliamentary pact, which says that we will not attack each other during the election campaign, and also says that we will form a government after winning the elections
– he said.
The draft “sejm pact” was handed over by the co-chair of the New Left to the other leaders of the opposition parties a few weeks ago and its contents were passed on to the media.
We will urge you once again to make it another very clear step towards cooperation
said Czarzasty.
It’s hard to work together, talk about one letter all the time and not want to sign an agreement that we won’t attack each other during the campaign and that we won’t form a government after we win the election
– added.
