Georgian Minister of Justice Rati Bregadze said that former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will be transferred to prison as soon as his medical conditions become suitable, according to Georgian Channel One. Answering the relevant question of the journalists, he noted that in this respect, the politician was no different from other prisoners.

“We are in constant communication with Vivamed health personnel. Naturally, we learn about Saakashvili’s health every day, and as I told you before, as soon as the appropriate conditions, that is, the medical conditions, are established, of course, he will be transferred to the appropriate institution.”

As the head of the Georgian Ministry of Justice pointed out, the point is that there is no medical danger for Saakashvili. At the same time, Bregadze did not specify whether there was any time frame for the former president of Georgia to return from the clinic to prison.

President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili suggested “soften the situation” by applying other forms of punishment to Saakashvili.
