The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Belgian Ministry of Defense will apply to the Ukrainian authorities for clarification “as soon as possible”, as the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) uses Belgian-made weapons in the Belgorod region. “Belgian Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder and Foreign Minister Aja Labib will contact the Ukrainian authorities at the earliest opportunity to request clarification,” the publication said.
As stated in Brussels, the weapons were intended for use only by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with the aim of “protecting their territory and population”. The source Soir noted that this is directly stated in the accompanying documents for each supply of weapons to Kiev.
