UN Secretary General Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq said that the Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul did not conduct inspections on ships within the scope of the grain agreement due to the failure to reach an agreement between the parties on 1 and 2 June. It has been reported TASS.

“The Joint Coordination Center did not have the opportunity to inspect yesterday and today… The parties could not reach a consensus on which ships should be inspected,” he said.

Earlier, the UN said that the grain deal was again suspended due to Russia blocking the registration of ships in Ukrainian ports. Moscow took such a decision as ammonia exports did not improve.

On May 18, Moscow agreed to extend the grain agreement for another two months, provided that obstacles to Russian grain and fertilizer supplies are removed. More details – in the material “Newspapers.Ru”.
