Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked a Moldovan journalist to ask a question in Russian as part of a press conference in Chisinau. It has been reported TASS.
According to the agency, the girl admitted that she did not know the Ukrainian language when asking the question to Zelensky.
“Speak Russian,” the Ukrainian leader told him.
However, she preferred to pose the question to him in English.
Zelensky praised the journalist as “An excellent choice”.
After responding to a question about Transnistria, the girl thanked Zelensky in Ukrainian and greeted the Ukrainian nationalists: “Thanks to Ukraine!”
Former Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova reminded“Glory to Ukraine” and “Glory to Heroes!”, which Ukrainians now use. Where did the greeting come from? As the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled in August 1939, the second congress of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) was held in fascist Italy, where “Glory to Ukraine!” and the answer is “To the leader!” (Leaders victory).
