Charles Michel, President of the European Council, said that in the five meetings between the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Germany, France and the representatives of the European Union, the issues related to the peace agreement between Yerevan and Baku were discussed. transmits Trend agency. According to him, within the framework of the dialogue, a new meeting was agreed between President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.

“We discussed communication, delimitation of borders, a peace treaty. “This meeting has been a very good preparation for the next meeting to be held in Brussels on 21 July,” he said.

As the head of the European Council has pointed out, he is confident that the new negotiations will be held in a quintuple format, only this time in the capital of Moldova, where the meeting was held, he wants to invite the leaders to Spain. He also added that the EU is ready to do everything to move forward towards resolving relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Previously, Aliyev stated that the peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan signable in the near future.
