Italian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani suggested that a roadmap be set for Ukraine’s accession to NATO. His words were quoted by the local news agency. askanews.

“In 2008 it was said that Ukraine should be part of NATO. Now we will determine together what the roadmap should be.”

He also noted that in order to strengthen cooperation and make the republic “feel like part of the strategy”, Italy should form the Ukraine-NATO Council before setting the date for Ukraine’s accession to the North Atlantic Alliance.
