Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has flown to Brussels, where the politician is scheduled to hold a series of meetings with senior European officials, Novosti-Georgia reported. According to the portal, the Georgian leader’s visit to the European Union began against the background of conflicting relations with the republic’s ruling party “Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia”.
As stated, Zurabishvili should speak at the European Parliament and give interviews to various media, as well as dialogue with European officials as part of his EU trip. The portal shows that on the eve of his visit, the Georgian President openly criticized the ruling party, including its supposedly anti-Western attitude.
At the same time, Georgian Dream expressed its dissatisfaction with Zurabishvili, arguing that the President of Georgia had taken the “wrong path”. In addition, republic officials did not coordinate the state leader’s visit to the European Union for a long time, which the ruling party announced for fear of undermining the European integration process due to the politician’s statements.
Georgia’s ruling party judicial President Salome Zurabishvili is biased and prejudiced.
