We have had 8 years in which we have shown that we keep our word – said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of State Assets Jacek Sasin on Monday during a meeting with the residents of Piotrków Trybunalski.
Poles ask us: how do you differ from representatives of other parties, what are you better at, why would you want to continue to rule Poland? The fundamental difference between us and our political competitors is that we are credible. (…) There are 8 years behind us, in which we have shown that we keep our word
– said Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin, who together with the Minister of Infrastructure Andrzej Adamczyk and the Minister of Agriculture Robert Telus, at the invitation of Senior Marshal Antoni Macierewicz, met with voters from Piotrków Trybunalski on Monday as part of the “Poland is One series.
OP only promises
According to the deputy prime minister, the political opponents of PiS are now ready to promise anything, but if only they came to power, they would surely forget their promises.
How different is our philosophy of government, how different is our approach to the electoral contract that we are proposing to the Poles. Behind us are 8 years of PiS rule, during which we have shown credibility. In 2015, PiS said it was time to end Polish poverty; that it is time to restore dignity to many Poles; that there may be an authority in Poland that will take care of all Poles, and not only those who (…) have retained their privileged position from the times of the People’s Republic of Poland
he stressed.
Sasin recalled how it was said at the time that there would be no money to fulfill PiS’s promises and that they were unrealistic.
When Donald Tusk heard about our family support project (500 plus – editor’s note), he said he would introduce such a program himself, but we would show him where the money is. And we have shown that this money exists and that we can fund programs that are good for all Poles (…)
– he said.
The deputy prime minister believes that thanks to PiS, companies have stopped treating Poland as a market for goods of lower quality than in the West and as a place where cheap labor is exploited.
We had the courage to oppose public finance pathologies, which cost Poles tens of billions of zlotys every year. It was possible to reduce the watt gap to the size found in Western European countries. Just look at the state budget – in 2015 budget revenue was less than PLN 300 billion; today the planned revenue is over PLN 600 billion, more than twice as much as 8 years ago – this is the measure of our success in the fight to seal the tax system
he explained.
The deputy prime minister described the fact that so many people were excluded from normal life due to poverty, especially families with several children, as a “great shame of the Polish state”.
This has changed radically. As part of the 500 plus program, PLN 227 billion has been transferred to Polish families since 2016 – almost half of the annual state budget. Only in Łódzkie 400 thousand. children receive support from the 500 plus program
– added.
The deputy prime minister pointed out that there are more programs that support families – Layette plus, Maluch plus, and the amount of 500 PLN in support will be increased to 800 PLN from the new year. According to Sasin, the PiS government is also remembering seniors, introducing 13th and 14th pensions for them and a high indexation of pension benefits.
Part of Poland’s regaining dignity was fighting the scourge of unemployment. After 1989, the collapse of workshops and state farms caused unemployment to be high. It is condemned to poverty, devoid of hope (…). Today, unemployment has been reduced to an imperceptible level. In some areas there is even a labor shortage
said Sasin.
He recalled that PiS announced it would equalize Poles’ chances no matter where they live.
Here too we differ from our predecessors, who focused on the development of the metropolis and left the provinces aside. For us, the residents are entitled to the same attention from the government. That is why we transferred a total of PLN 90 billion to three programs: the Road Construction Fund, the Strategic Investment Fund and the Polish Order Fund
– added.
According to the deputy prime minister, Poland must be able to develop safely; not only in the military dimension, but also in the energy dimension. As he said, Europe has set course for a very rapid energy transformation, while PiS believes that the transformation should take into account Polish specificity and be bearable for society.
We will defend Poland’s energy independence, we will go our own way, at our own pace. As PiS, we want to propose to the Poles an energy pact based on three pillars: we want to build new energy sources, including offshore wind energy, and we will also intensively build nuclear power; these plans are already being implemented. (…) The second element of the pact is the protection of Polish coal until the announced investments in alternative sources are completed
he explained.
The third element of the pact is to protect Poland from the consequences of the energy crisis and transformation.
We want them to feel the price increase only to the extent acceptable to them
he stressed.
The deputy prime minister also mentioned strengthening military security, eg the policy of recreating military units, especially in the east of the country. He announced that we will invest PLN 100 billion in defense this year.
We are not interested in power for power, which should be a career path for some Poles. We are interested in the strength that is for Poland, which solves their problems and protects them in difficult times
– added.
Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin also spoke on Twitter.
We have ensured energy security for the Poles. We have successfully countered Russian energy blackmail. We defended the Polish coal mining industry against the Methane Directive. We have shown that we can handle difficult times
– wrote the Minister of State Assets.
The importance of investments
In turn, the Minister of Infrastructure Andrzej Adamczyk drew attention to investments in the so-called communication grid – fast roads of the year, which are at the highest technological level in Europe. According to him, the government’s road building fund has changed the reality in municipalities and poviats; it also helped reduce unemployment.
Government Road Fund – addressed to municipalities and poviats across the country, both to those who can afford to fund 50 percent of road infrastructure. cost of road construction and those who cannot afford it and receive 80 percent financing. – it is 22 thousand municipal and district roads in 5 years; it is 14 thousand local investment. This means that companies processed billions of zlotys in municipalities and poviats. This money remains with the Polish small and medium-sized enterprises and Polish manufacturers of building materials
he explained.
Adamczyk also spoke about increasing safety on Polish roads. According to him, there were more than 3,000 road deaths in 2015, compared to a thousand last year. fewer. It is also the effect of an investment of almost PLN 900 million in road works over 5 years.
President Jarosław Kaczyński recently announced that Polish highways will be free. Once again we have kept our word, the Ministry of Infrastructure has prepared a project together with the Ministry of Finance and the law was passed last Friday. 93 percent of the delegates were in favor of its adoption; we hope that the Senate will deal with the legislative process as soon as possible so that we can enjoy free travel on state-run highways from July 1
Adamczyk remembered.
PiS is the heir to the peasant ethnic movement
According to Agriculture Minister Robert Telus, PiS is the true ideological heir of the folk-national movement, fighting under the slogan “they feed and defend” and the only group “protecting the Polish land”.
Yesterday, during the celebration of independence movements, the Prime Minister spoke important words – that there will be no strong Polish economy if there is no strong Polish agriculture. We are the only economic sector that does not set its own prices. Our prices are set by companies. Those who today call themselves the defenders of the Polish countryside failed to ensure that the country’s manufacturing industry remained in Polish hands
he stressed.
According to Telus, food security is very important to the PiS government as it guarantees the strength and independence of the country.
