The crisis must not be lost – this American saying is followed by Brussels, which now wants to take advantage of Italy’s difficult situation and is blackmailing it by suspending the payment of 19 billion euros from the next tranche of KPO funds.
Financial problems of the European Union. MEP Rzońca: There is a frantic search for money to repay the EU debt
The EU idea of relocation as in the nightmares of the Third Reich. Brussels wants massive, forced resettlement of illegal immigrants
At the end of May, Rome will report on how it meets the EU requirements included in the Italian FPA milestones. Meanwhile, northern Italy has been hit by catastrophic flooding. In the Emilia-Romagna region, 16 people died and the damage is estimated at 8 billion euros. That is why the government of Giorgia Meloni asked Brussels for understanding and a quick release of funds. But Brussels officials, like hyenas, smelled the victim and saw Italy’s tragedy as an opportunity to make further demands.
Everything indicates that the same scheme as in Poland worked. The Italian opposition, together with the environmental lobby, wrote a complaint to Brussels against their own government. This, in turn, saw an opportunity to subdue Giorgia Meloni’s cabinet. Socialists of the Democratic Party are demanding that the money for the reconstruction of Emilia-Romano go to a special fund managed by the head of the region, who belongs to their party. In addition, the left opposes lowering taxes and flattening tariffs. In October, after Ursula von der Leyen’s threats against the right-wing government that emerged after the elections, the opposition for Italian democracy rose to the usurpations of the Eurocrats and on the side of Giorgia Meloni’s future cabinet. Now the Italian left follows the path of the Polish total opposition.
In Brussels, the Italian left-wing opposition is gaining strong support in the form of Paolo Gentilioni, the Commissioner for Economy, former secretary of the Democratic Party, who is demanding that tax reform in Italy be halted and that KPO be blocked. This is yet another proof of how dysfunctional and pathological the European Union system is. Here is a man who has no democratic legitimacy, because his party lost the elections in Italy, who uses his position in the EU and money from European contributions to blackmail, control and force his own government to implement its policies. This situation is somewhat reminiscent of the early PiS reign. At the time, Commissioner Elżbieta Bieńkowska, who had already lost the Poles’ mandate, supported imposing sanctions on Poland for the government’s refusal to agree to the forced resettlement of illegal immigrants in Poland.
The environmental lobby also makes demands. Among other things, it is about stopping the construction of dams in the Apennines and “liberating” the rivers – restoring their natural course. This is a pretext for Brussels to interfere completely unlawfully in the internal affairs of a Member State.
These resources (KPO) will also be used to restore the disrupted balance between nature and buildings. (…) Thus, the river bed of the Po will be reconstructed, concreted today, greenery along the banks will be redeveloped to make way for nature. We must make nature our partner in the fight against climate change
– she said in an interview with the Italian agency ANSA von der Leyen, which confirmed that it had blocked the payment of 6 billion euros to Italy on its own initiative.
Of course, neither Von der Leyen nor the whole of Brussels has any idea whether dams should be built in the Apennines and what the beds of Italian rivers should look like. And it’s none of their business. The ruling communists and socialists in Spain are now “liberating the rivers”. They liquidate dams, reservoirs, weirs, resulting in a massive drought that affected entire parts of the country. Similar ideas will be implemented in Italy. However, the pathological, anti-democratic system of the EU means that under any pretext a German official can blackmail the entire country and demand that all ideas be implemented. For the Eurocracy, the tragedy that has befallen Italy does not matter.
In the background of these despicable actions, Italy’s compulsion to support the abolition of the unanimity rule in the Union is what owner states like Germany and France want to force. Italy already seems to be succumbing to this. The second point is the protests of the Italian car industry against the crazy decision and the ban on the sale of internal combustion engine cars after 2035. This industry provides Italy with more than 5% of GDP and jobs for more than 300,000 people.
Ostensibly, the game plays out on several levels, but in fact it amounts to yet another brutal, violation of the rule of law and democracy, the interference of Brussels in the internal affairs of a member state. The scheme of the attack is exactly the same as in Poland – the opposition provides pretexts and Brussels blackmails and blocks money. Eurocracy will not tolerate any right-wing government in the EU. For Poland, blackmail against Rome is an opportunity to form a kind of coalition with the Meloni government. We are in the same boat, but the situation in Italy is much worse than ours because of the economic situation and the immigration crisis. Sweden, where anti-EU sentiment is growing, could prove an ally.
I keep repeating this: the EU system cannot be repaired. It must be overthrown. And after the fall elections, this will be one of the most pressing tasks.
