Alexander Schallenberg, Head of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that Vienna maintains contacts with the Russian Federation at various levels. He talked about it in an interview with Mold Press.
According to him, Austria has several levels of contact with Russia, as it “has not disappeared from the world”.
He declined to comment on the statement by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova that Moscow was surprised to see Schallenberg’s earlier statements about alleged unofficial contacts between the two countries.
Schallenberg stressed that relations between the two states were “totally destroyed” and that the Russian government “cannot be trusted”.
