Reality can be faked endlessly with words, just like the weekend “Gazeta Wyborcza”, posting a gibberish, internally contradictory, sometimes bizarre interview with General Nosek, who actually accuses PiS of collaborating with Russia. The whole thing is so incompetent, so vulgar that you would laugh out loud if it weren’t for a deadly serious matter: the security of Poland.

Tusk’s team and his media can say a million words, but they won’t change the past. The facts are obvious: in the years 2007-2005 we had a government that acted in the security of Poland and focused on full cooperation with Moscow in almost every field, from foreign policy to energy. Added to this is the embarrassment during the Smolensk tragedy, the absurd rejection of the obvious murder thesis. Whether it was done because of an order from Berlin, or out of personal career hopes, or out of sheer stupidity (the exact opposite of what PiS did), is of secondary importance. It’s important that it was decided to play a game that no Polish politician should ever choose.
Such political crimes must have consequences. People who make such guttural mistakes should at least leave politics. If they made such a fundamental mistake, they have no right to even think about taking back the reins.
The commission to investigate Russian influence in 2007-2022 (I hope President Andrzej Duda will support her nomination) must reveal the truth. Poles have the right to know how much the basic interests of our state were trampled under the PO’s rule. And how completely different was the independence policy of Law and Justice. This is essential for our safety. Such heavy guilt cannot be forgiven. We are not the 1st Republic, but the 3rd or 4th, and we cannot afford to make the same mistakes that have already brought us down.
