Noa Kirel represented her country in the Eurovision Song Contest. The singer received the highest possible number of points from the Polish jury.
Her comment about the situation caused quite a stir. There were opinions that Kirel suggested that Poles were complicit in the murder of Jews during the war.
I feel like a winner. The fact that I got the most points from Poland, after what my family went through there during the Holocaust, was a real moment of triumph for me

Jablonski’s response
The case was handled by Deputy Minister Paweł Jabłoński. The deputy head of Polish diplomacy invited the singer to Poland. It turned out that the artist representing Israel accepted the invitation.
I am very happy that @noakirel has accepted my invitation to Poland – and that we can talk about the history of our nations, about remembering the victims of the Holocaust and other crimes of World War II, but also about the future – especially about how we can let young people in our countries get to know history and each other as well as possible.
