“With the desire of both sides to restore diplomatic relations on the basis of mutual respect and common interests, it was decided to restore the level of diplomatic relations with Canada,” the Arab diplomatic service said in a statement.
It was noted that Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau agreed on the re-establishment of diplomatic relations on the sidelines of the APEC summit in November 2022.
