According to the news, the High Nomination Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to appoint Ms. Simone Halperin as Israel’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation.

Simone Halperin was Israel’s ambassador to Singapore and East Timor, as well as to the unofficial diplomatic mission in Taiwan. She was born in Riga in 1969 and lived in the USSR until 1976.
