As the agency noted, the bill expands the powers of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov and his deputies to conduct anti-corruption checks.

An attempt by an official to leave voluntarily will not help to evade responsibility in case of violations during the inspection. After the adoption of the law, the prosecutor’s office will be able, through the court, to change the text of the dismissal of an official, which will be explained by the loss of confidence in connection with the crimes of corruption committed, if there are grounds.

In the explanatory note to the draft law, it is stated that this is aimed at improving the procedure for verifying information about income and expenses of officials, as well as property and property obligations.

In April, the Federation Council didn’t Do not publish information about senators’ 2022 income and expenses. Citing sources in the Presidential Administration and the State Duma, the newspaper Vedomosti reported that both chambers of parliament could not issue declarations, even in a generalized form, referring to a decree allowing information on income not to be disclosed during the special operation.
