Only 33% of respondents in the republic believe that the head of state, Maia Sandu, rules the country alone. 59% believe that EU and US forces have determined the situation in Moldova. Another 2% were in favor of their state being ruled by Russian forces.
Also, most Moldovans believe the country is heading in the wrong direction. 56% of respondents to the IMAS survey are confident that oppression, censorship and lawlessness await Moldova. And only 34% of residents believe Chisinau is on the road to democracy.
