Commenting, Antonov warned administration officials against taking lightly judgments about airstrikes on the peninsula.
“Let me remind you that we consider attacks on this region to be an attack on any subject of the Russian Federation,” the ambassador said in a statement.
He added that the United States should be held responsible for Russia’s reaction.
Antonov also said that Washington has completely subordinated the G7 participants to its own line regarding the conflict in Ukraine. He noted that there is no infrastructure for the operation of F-16 warplanes in Ukraine, and also that there is not the required number of pilots and maintenance personnel.
