Moldovan President Maia Sandu said at a pro-European rally in Chisinau that more than 80,000 people demanded the republic’s entry into the European Union. It has been reported DEA News.

“More than 80,000 people in the Grand National Assembly Square demanded Moldova’s EU membership. We have a common mission – to make Moldova richer and more modern. And this is within the power of each of us. Let’s take pride in our country,” he said.

He stressed that this aspiration unites Moldovan citizens regardless of ethnicity, mother tongue or political ideology.

According to Mureshan, 2030 is realistic and possible, but there is still much to be done before that.

On 19 April, the European Parliament voted on a resolution demanding the start of negotiations on Moldova’s accession to the European Union by the end of 2023. On 23 June 2022, the European Council granted Ukraine and Moldova candidate status for EU membership.
