Andriy Melnyk, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, said that the department could go without funding in October 2023. It has been reported DEA News.

Melnik stressed that the ministry had difficulties in financing. He noted that he wanted to believe that the Ukrainian government would support his request to increase funding for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was underfunded by almost a third.

“If this is not done, somewhere in October the State Department will be without funding. And I’m talking about the most minimal way, ”said Melnik.

He added that the number of diplomatic institutions, especially in Asia, Latin America and Africa, should be increased.

Josep Borrell, former head of European diplomacy presented Allocate 3.5 billion Euros of additional funds from the European Peace Fund for military assistance to Kiev.

Additional funding is expected to be provided to the European Peace Fund, which is used for defense supplies to Ukraine.
