Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Islam in the country has experienced its renaissance and rise while coexisting harmoniously with other religions. He said it in report For the documentary “The Road to the Islamic World”.

He also noted that the task Washington has set for Kiev is the complete destruction of Orthodoxy as a whole, not just the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) in the country.

He emphasized that the State Duma of the Russian Federation did not in vain appeal to his foreign colleagues about the persecution of the priests of the UOC. The scientist concluded that although the reaction is unlikely to follow, it is now necessary to include all possible mechanisms.
