Risch added that this “give China the freedom to build strategic nuclear weapons systems at breathtaking speed.”

Former Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov declarationFollowing the US State Department, Russia will not publish data on total amounts under the New START.

On February 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law suspending Russia’s participation in START. According to him, Moscow should clearly understand what the other nuclear powers, which are members of NATO, are claiming before returning to the discussion of continuing to operate under New START.
