Who is Igor Kornet?
Wounded Cornet was considered one of the most effective security guards in the LPR. Previously, he worked as an inspector in the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and in August 2014 headed the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the self-proclaimed republic.
In 2017, Igor Plotnitsky, then head of the LPR, dismissed Kornet and charged him with a number of charges, including confiscation of other people’s property. After that, Kornet brought the security forces to the center of Lugansk, and Plotnitsky was forced to flee.
