Last weekend caused a lot of commotion in domestic politics, in particular due to the program convention Law and Justice, which included valorization of the 500+ programme. Program ideas in an interview with the wPolityce.pl portal are commented on by MP Mejza, who points to a very visible difference between the ruling party and the opposition.
wPolityce.pl: Mr. Envoy, the ruling camp has made a strong start to the pre-election campaign. At the “Programowy Ul” convention, PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński presented three broad program specifications, mainly related to pro-social policies: indexing from 500+ to the level of 800+, free medicines for seniors over 65 and for children under 18, and free travel on highways and expressways. Ambitious projects – will you succeed in carrying them out?
Lukasz Mejza: Editor, the United Right’s main asset is credibility – as the first formation after 1989 we have shown our compatriots that it is possible to keep promises and carry out the programme. We have proven that we treat the Poles seriously and do not promise pears in the sky. What counts in politics is freedom of choice – we declare and act immediately to meet voters’ concerns and expectations. This is what distinguishes us from the greatest manipulator of Polish politics, like Pinocchio, but without an innocent face, but with wolf eyes full of untruth. I’m talking about Donald Tusk, who swore he wouldn’t raise the retirement age, and then, a few months after the election, ordered Polish men and women to work near death. Another time, he promised that money would fall into the budget and that taxes would never be raised. Immediately after winning the election, he froze the salaries of teachers, nurses, uniformed services and increased VAT for all Poles. I am not surprised that it is the politician with the highest mistrust index in Poland, the Poles no longer want to be lied to by the man from Moscow and Berlin.
The main opposition party has not yet officially commented on the new Law and Justice proposals. Do you think we hear mockery and mocking laughter again that there is no money and there will be no money, does the Civic Platform support the broadening of social support?
PO politicians are like scorpions from an African parable. In this story, the frog agreed to carry the scorpion across the river on the scorpion’s back, but during the crossing, the scorpion fatally stung the frog and they drowned together, as the scorpion reveals its true nature sooner or later. In the nature of the total opposition lies a deep contempt for ordinary Poles. The mocking language is always reflected in the statements of PO politicians. Sometimes, like MP Leszczyna, they say that 500+ has not improved Poland’s quality of life, sometimes, like Senator Szejnfeld, they insult PiS voters, saying they are “loafers, bums, bums”, and sometimes they go all out in insulting millions of compatriots and like Donald Tusk they talk about “drinking, beating children and women and not disgracing yourself with work”. Whatever they say about the extended version of 500+ before the elections, we can be sure that they will win disdain for the inhabitants of local Poland and they will do everything they can when, God forbid, they return to power to take from the Poles what they deserve from the state, i.e. social programs. I know that many Polish patriots are reading this interview, so I have one message for them: if Donald Tusk or other PO politicians call you pathology, margin or snail, it means you are going in the right direction and I can only congratulate you .
Will the approach to social programs and the widely understood pro-family policies be one of the significant differences and the subject of the upcoming election?
No doubt. On the one hand, we have a concrete support offer for Polish families, which is symbolized by the United Right 800+ project. On the other hand, we have the intellectual and program emptiness of the opposition, symbolized by the vulgar 8 stars. The biggest paradox when it comes to pro-family policy is that Donald Tusk has so far introduced only one proposal related to this sector – a proposal to liberalize the abortion law. This is a symbol of the approach to families in Polish politics and clear evidence that the United Right is a grouping of the Polish family.
Do you think the theme of family will be the main theme of the campaign?
The family is absolutely the most important thing for the United Right, but not only in the campaign, but also in government, that is clearly visible. On the one hand, we guarantee that we will always protect families against the pressure of left-wing ideologies, against the sexualization of children and the entry into schools of trans activists, for example. On the other hand, we surround families with massive state support, which is the result of solidarity and empathy. It’s worth looking at the details. Under the rule of PiS, families receive 500+ (soon to be 800+) and layette 300+, under the rule of PO-PSL, Donald Tusk was unsuccessfully looking for money in Zakopane, with low-flying jokes. Under our administration, we provide childcare – this is Family Care Capital and a tripling of the number of places in daycare centers: from 80 to 240,000. During our rule, parents have a job and earn a steady income, thanks to a reduction in income tax – during the rule of PO-PSL, unemployment in some regions reached 25% and Poles received PLN 3-4 per hour. Today, child poverty is about 4 percent, a decade ago it was more than 10 percent. We have ended with the greatest disgrace of the reign of Donald Tusk, the prime minister of Polish poverty – hungry children living in poverty. Unfortunately, just as Donald Tusk has a face full of contempt today, the face of his reign was the face of a hungry child.
However, Mr Member, it seems that in addition to the slogan for the strongest voters of the opposition, namely 8 stars, Donald Tusk is also pouring some promises up his sleeve, such as the “grandmothers” program for raising children or 0% credits. for youth. Perhaps the Civic Platform has learned from 7 defeats in a row and is preparing its own bid.
These suggestions are a laugh through tears. When I listen to this, the words of Jan Vincent Rostowski ring in my ears – “there is no money and there will be none”, I hear all the mockery of PiS voters gathering 500+. Today their credibility is literally zero. If Donald Tusk had switched channels from German ZDF to Polish television, he would have found that his wonderful proposals had already been implemented by the United Right, and to a much greater extent. Instead of “grandmothers”, we give young parents even more support – Family Care Capital, ie PLN 12,000 for raising a child between 1 and 3 years old. We have already voted for a cheap loan for your own apartment for young people – this will start on July 1. The only thing that, apart from anti-PiS, Donald Tusk and the main lazy drone of Polish politics, Rafał Trzaskowski, proposes the Poles is the “300 min” program – thanks to the EU environmental taxes for driving, heating the house , with electricity, each Pole Brussels pays no less than 300 PLN more per month. Behind this eco-madness, members of the total opposition raised their hands. This is clear from the fall choice: either sovereign Poland, where families can count on support, i.e. PiS with the 800+ program, or the total opposition, which will declare 8 stars, and instead of social programs it will liquidate, the will impose gigantic taxes on Polish families “300 -” per month. Either the development of Poland and a dignified life for Polish families, or the opposition liquidation against poverty and unemployment in the background.
