If there was a problem that the two big blocs faced in the last legislature, it was the question of equality. Different positions around the definition of feminism, whether people are involved in the movement, family reconciliation, changing maternity and paternity leave, position debate… None of these have had political forces. they failed to create a common framework from which to begin developing their equality policy.

Thus, this is one of the areas where the proposals in the election programs of different entities reflect the greatest inequality: from the expansion of the left’s equality schemes to the tabula rasa that Vox intends to implement with all these arrangements. They take “gender” into account by passing a family reconciliation law, which will be promoted by the PPCV and Ciudadanos.

PSPV – PSOE

In terms of equality, they advocate, together with 28M, the implementation of benefits and more advantageous conditions in public tenders for companies from PSPV-PSOE, which are in favor of reconciliation and proposing to promote a protocol against sexist violence in training centres. purple dots.

Socialists are also reaffirming the fight against prostitution in their election programs and announcing that they will allocate, as they claim, all the money raised by sanctions against brothels, pimps and sex consumers, to services and resources to help the victims of the prostitution system.

PPPC

The People’s Party, for its part, announces that it will support an employment quality program that includes measures for stability, education and equal opportunities. Popular ones argue that in this sense, they will approve Valencia’s family, work and joint responsibility reconciliation law.

In addition, they propose to establish a system of assistance from PPCV that serves to encourage all companies to develop and implement an equality plan, as well as to improve the labor force participation of victims of gender-based violence.

CITIZENS

They feel that a family protection plan from Ciudadanos should be implemented to support family reconciliation, promoting flexible working hours and guaranteeing free services such as kindergartens and support programmes. Liberals also proclaim an autonomous agreement to rationalize schedules in order to generalize a more flexible and compact working day that allows for better reconciliation of working hours.

The Orange entity argues that it will try to guarantee equality between men and women in its investments in sports, as in other investments promoted by Generalitat Valenciana.

COMMITMENTS

Compromís underlines the need to promote equity schemes in companies in the Valencian Community. The Valencia coalition proposes to combine all of the Generalitat’s resources, services and care centers “for women survivors of sexist violence”.

In addition, they announce from Compromís that they will ratify and implement the Valencian gender equality law, which treats all stages of education in an adapted way in terms of gender equality, freedom from roles and stereotypes, and provides students with the tools for true zero tolerance. sexism

VOX

Vox’s proposals for equality involve repealing the vast majority of regulations passed on this issue in recent years.

The far-right establishment assures that it will repeal its equality schemes, the Trans-autonomous Law (which, in its own words, poses a “threat to minors in the region”) and “equality-violating gender laws.” In addition, Vox argues that such regulations, as they have publicly expressed, pit men and women against each other.

UNITS WE CAN ACHIEVE

Unides Podem proposes a roadmap aimed at removing barriers between men and women in the workplace and promoting the inclusion of care work in the Valencian economy. To do this, they propose that unpaid work be taken into account when planning economic policies from Unides Podem and promoting measures aimed at eliminating discrimination, sticky floors and glass ceilings against women in the workplace. In addition, Mors are committed to increasing the resources of labor inspection to punish this discrimination based on gender.
