OSCE did not see obvious manipulations in vote counting in Turkish elections

Michael Georg Link, Special Coordinator of the OSCE Short-Term Observers Mission, said OSCE observers did not see any obvious manipulations during vote counting in Turkey’s elections. Words lead the way DEA News.

“As you know, there are always final reports after the entire process of appealing the election results. This is something that is never clear in the absolutely super-ideal sense, but again, we don’t see any signs of manipulation in the vote counting process,” Link said.

Presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey were held on 14 May. The only candidate of the “Republican Alliance”, the incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s main rival was Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the only candidate of the opposition “People’s Alliance”.

After processing 100% of the ballots, Erdoğan received 49.35% and his opponent 45% of the votes. Sinan Ogan, the third candidate of the ATA Alliance, received 5.22 percent of the votes. The second round of voting will take place on 28 May.

TASS cites a source from the opposition Republican People’s Party of Turkey. knowledgeableTurkey’s opposition candidate, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, may receive some of the votes of Sinan Ogan, who got 5.2 percent in the first round.
