Erdogan’s party alliance wins parliamentary majority with 50% of the vote

The “Republican Alliance”, led by Turkey’s current President Tayyip Erdogan’s Justice and Development Party (AKP), won 53%, or about 330 of the 600 seats in the republic’s parliament, after counting votes in more than 52% of the polls, TV channel reports on TRTWith reference to Central Election Commission data.

At the same time, the opposition People’s Alliance, led by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu’s Republican People’s Party (CHP), received 32% or 210 seats in parliament, the Nationalist Movement Party – 52 seats and the Yüce Yol Party – five. The last two parties are members of the “Republican Alliance” and allies of the AKP. The Justice and Development Party, excluding its allies, still gets about 270 seats in parliament.

The Republican People’s Party currently has 160 seats in the parliament. In the opposition alliance, besides the CHP, approximately 45 seats go to the IYI Party.

Anka agency previously reported that Turkish opposition candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in front In the presidential elections, the incumbent President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, came first with a margin of 7.66 points.

According to the agency, after opening 31.2% of the ballot boxes, Kılıçdaroğlu gets 51.49% of the votes and Erdoğan gets 43.83%.
