French President Emmanuel Macron said the country should lower taxes for the middle class. He stated this in an interview with Idea.

“We must stick to the strategy of reducing the tax burden on the middle class. From where? Because if we want to develop the state, we must make employment prestigious,” said Macron, and continued his words as follows:

According to him, the tax burden on the middle class is increasing rapidly. He noted that the French government is helping low-income households, but state support is not provided for those who receive between 1,500 and 2,500 euros per month.

“I’m talking about people who are too rich to get help but not rich enough to live well,” Macron added.
