A two-day program conference on Law and Justice will take place in Warsaw, consisting of no less than 10 panels: 3 of an economic nature, another 5 of a generally understood social nature and another 2 of a political nature.
The conference opened with the speech of President Jarosław Kaczyński, which on the one hand was a kind of summary of 7.5 years of government and on the other hand ended with the assurance that in his summary speech on Sunday he will present several broadly new program proposals, which will be clarified in the coming weeks.
In his speech, the president drew attention to the extremely important change brought about by the almost 8-year rule of PiS, which he called “the restoration of our democracy”, and recalled in this context that elections are an act of democracy or an act of manipulation.
It is an act of manipulation when various things are promised in the election campaign that are not intended to be carried out and thus the voters are misled, even knowingly.
And he recalled that “PiS announced a lot in both election campaigns, we had a program, a great program. And I can honestly say that we executed this program and in this way gave democracy the right meaning.”
In panels to talk about the achievements of the rule of law and justice, but also about the future, not only ministers responsible for individual economic or social ministries were invited, but also guests from outside our political environment, at least several dozen people representing different environments: entrepreneurs, scientists, people of culture, local government officials.
In this way, as part of the panels, a multidimensional discussion takes place on further program ideas, which should serve even faster than before the development of our country and the improvement of the standard of living of all Poles, regardless of their place of residence.
The program will last several months, the program for the next term of office will, if the voters so decide, be announced around the turn of summer and autumn, so that it can effectively be presented to the voters just after the end of the term of office. school holidays.
It is especially worth highlighting a significant improvement in the state of public finances, which allows for record spending in all areas, as well as a significant increase in public investment.
This improvement is best illustrated by four figures, a more than doubling of budget revenues in 8 years (including several crisis years) from PLN 289 billion in 2015 to PLN 604 billion in 2023 and a more than 2.5 fold increase in VAT revenues of PLN 123 billion in 2015 and PLN 286 billion in 2023, as well as a significant reduction in public debt-to-GDP from 51.3% in 2015 to about 47% in 2023, according to the EU method.
These data regarding the increase in budget revenues are also an indictment against the PO-PSL government, during those governments at least one budget disappeared, namely the amount of about PLN 300 billion due to their political agreement to the “privatization” of taxes .
Content panels
As numerous commentators of yesterday’s debate noted on the internet, the comparison of substantial panels in which new program proposals are put forward is aimed at developing every area of the economy and the social sector and improving the standard of living of all Poles, while the meetings of Tusk are boiling hot. with profanity, is just an abyss.
Tusk clearly sees that in the substantive debate on the program his formation does not stand a chance against Law and Justice, nor in the battle for the credibility of either side, because his government has misled the Poles on many important issues (such as raising the retirement age), the PiS government has fully fulfilled its major commitments.
Hence his growing aggression and blasphemy against those in power, both in his statements and in the statements of his supporters under the sign of the “eight stars”, who not only are not ashamed of it, but even sit in the front rows at meetings with their leader.
The program gap between Law and Justice and the PO has the opportunity to turn into a gap in the election results.
