“These draft resolutions for adoption in Reykjavik are openly anti-Russian in nature. We have to admit that the organization has lost some degree of its pan-European focus, its diversified character, and I’m afraid its future is rather uncertain and indeed the organization continues to deteriorate,” Lukyantsev explained.
As the representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs specifically pointed out, the Council of Europe will take a series of steps on Ukraine on the basis of the continuation of Russia’s special military operations. He also added that the organization is “not literally” an innovator.
