Oleksiy Arestovich, a former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine, expressed the opinion that in Kiev they began to speak more Russian. He said this in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Vasily Golovanov, the video was posted on YouTube.
“Kiev is a Russian-speaking city. Well, how much can you go against the truth, ”Arestovich said.
As an example, he cited the story of his friend, who worked as a cashier in the capital’s supermarket. He assured that only 14 out of hundreds of buyers at the moment spoke to him in Ukrainian, the rest in Russian.
Arestovich expressed the opinion that the Ukrainian leadership denies the truth, does not want to see the obvious.
The politician called the actions of the Kiev authorities to discriminate against the Russian-speaking population as a violation of the constitution and the Criminal Code. He added that such actions from the position of Ukraine’s Western partners are atrocious.
