The Germans have been pursuing a lying historical policy for years, trying to cover up the fact that they caused World War II; the truth must be constantly remembered, the head of the parliamentary foreign affairs committee, Radosław Fogiel (PiS), told PAP.
On May 8, 1945, World War II in Europe ended with the capitulation of Germany. On the anniversary of this event, the German Chancellor tweeted that “78 years ago Germany and the world were liberated from the tyranny of National Socialism.”
We will always be grateful for that. May 8 reminds us that a democratic state cannot be taken for granted. We must protect and defend them – every day
Scholz added.
Falsifying history
This is a clear falsification of history and a cover for German participation in World War II. It is also an attempt to obscure the simple fact of who was the perpetrator and who was the victim of World War II. The Third Reich started the war, not stateless Nazis or Nazis
noted Fogel.
He judged that Germany had been consistently pursuing “such a lying historical policy” for years.
Several years ago, Chancellor Angela Merkel said that Germany was reportedly one of the countries liberated by the Allies. NO! Germany was among the defeated countries. First they were in a group of countries that invaded other countries and then they were defeated
– emphasized the PiS politician.
However, it is clear that regardless of whether Germany is ruled by the Christian Democrats or the Social Democrats, these attempts to distort history and blur German guilt are constant, he said.
What about reparations?
As he added, this is also “unfortunately visible in the context of our claim for reparations for the crimes and destruction of World War II.”
The Germans don’t feel it at all. Therefore, it must be remembered what the truth was, because, firstly, the Germans have not always taken full responsibility for it, and secondly, we must make sure that the world remembers who was the perpetrator of the tragedy of World War II
Fogel added.
