Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said on his Telegram channel that Kiev is in the final stages of implementing the seven recommendations of the European Commission to grant the republic the status of candidate member of the European Union.
“We are in the final phase of their implementation,” said the Ukrainian prime minister.
According to him, Ukraine is currently cooperating closely with the European Union at all levels.
Shmygal noted that in Kiev, he discussed with Ursula von der Leyen, the head of the European Commission, the implementation of all recommendations, as well as the export of Ukrainian agricultural products, which are currently banned in five European countries.
Ukrainian officials before must fulfill all the conditions of the European Commission for the start of the negotiation process for the country’s accession to the European Union.
Shmyhal in April declarationThat the Ukrainian authorities complied with all seven recommendations of the European Commission for the candidate country for EU membership. According to him, in the autumn Kiev awaits the final report of the EC and the “opening of the next door” on the way to the EU.
