Video taken from the scene shows Stavytsky approaching Marikovsky, snatching the yellow-blue Ukrainian trident flag from his hand, and then leaving. Marikovsky catches up to him and begins beating him, but witnesses quickly drive him away.
Earlier, during the anniversary summit of the heads of parliament of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization and the 61st PABSEC General Assembly, the Ukrainian delegation tried to disrupt the speech of the Russian representatives.
“It was like a circus that the Ukrainians did. “An attempt to disrupt the meeting of the speakers was unsuccessful,” said State Duma deputy Olga Timofeeva, head of the delegation of the Russian Federation.
According to the Turkish agency, during Timofeeva’s speech, the Ukrainian delegation unfurled a yellow-blue Ukrainian flag behind her and started chanting anti-Russian slogans. Anatolia.
Members of the Russian delegation tried to push the Ukrainians away from Timofeeva’s chair, “the conflict broke out.”
The agency also noted that the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, Mustafa Şentop, tried to stop the Ukrainian delegates and “urged them to remain calm”.
The head of the Ukrainian delegation, Anna Purtova, was absent at that time. As a result, the PABSEC members could not confirm the powers of the delegation of the Russian Federation in the organization, which took place for the second year in a row.
Deputy Timofeeva stated that the Russian delegation is also considering the issue of stopping contributions to the PABSEC. In this case, the Russians will be able to take part in the work of the organization, but they will not have the right to vote.
“The behavior of the Ukrainian delegation is unacceptable. Unfortunately, this style is more appropriate for a fence in a zoo than a serious international organization, said Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the International Relations Committee, head of the LDPR faction.
He also thanked Turkish spokesperson Mustafa Şentop for trying to bring order to the summit.
“And if Ukraine continues to behave this way, it will risk being isolated in all countries where they do not support a unipolar world ideology and the exclusivity of the “gold billion”, Slutsky said.
The PABSEC summit will be held on 4-5 May in Ankara.
