“Honestly, for weeks it seemed like this divorce was just a matter of time, so no, I’m not going to convince Bogusław Sonik,” said Marcin Kierwiński, Secretary General of Platforma Obywatelska, in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.
Bogusław Sonik, a long-time Civic Platform Party politician, who is considered one of the members of the already dying “conservative faction” in PO, announced in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM that he would leave the party due to disagreements with the Tusk’s party’s new, more left-wing political line.
The decision of the PO deputy probably did not particularly worry the secretary general of this party, Marcin Kierwiński, who confessed on Radio Plus that he would not convince Sonik to stay in the PO structures.
Frankly, for weeks it seemed that this separation was only a matter of time, so no, I will not convince Bogusław Sonik, I wish him all the best, we spent many years together on the Civic Platform, sometimes in politics it turns out that part ways
– said Marcin Kierwiński on Radio Plus.
Bogusław Sonik is an experienced parliamentarian, a grown man, he made such a decision, so we part amicably
– added.
