Negotiations in Saudi Arabia are useless unless there is a ceasefire from the Sudanese Rapid Response Force (RRF). This was expressed by Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, chairman of the country’s Interim Sovereign Council and commander-in-chief of the Sudanese armed forces.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Jeddah talks between the government army clashing in Sudan and the RRF will continue until the parties agree on a true temporary ceasefire.
Burhan said in an interview with a television channel in Egypt, “There is no point in sitting at the negotiating table in Saudi Arabia without a ceasefire.” Al Qahera News.
According to al-Burhan, the Sudanese armed forces welcome all initiatives aimed at ending the bloodshed and restoring stability in the country.
“There is no opportunity for dialogue until the rebels cease fire and lay down their weapons,” the Saudi representative said.
Also Saudi Arabia emphasize $100 million for humanitarian aid to Sudan. The President and Crown Prince commissioned the King Salman Humanitarian Center to provide aid to the “people of Sudan”. A fundraising campaign will also be launched on the Sahem platform to help the Sudanese people.
