UN Secretariat General: Working on details of high-level meeting on grain deal

The details of high-level talks on a grain deal are still being worked out, Farhan Haq, Deputy UN Secretary-General Representative, said during a briefing. It has been reported TASS.

“The details of the talks are still being worked out, so I can’t say who will represent the UN,” Haq said.

Previously, the Ministry of Reconstruction of Ukraine, Russia’s blocked Registration and inspection of vessels transporting Ukrainian agricultural products according to the Grain Agreement. According to the Ukrainian agency, there are currently 90 ships awaiting inspection in Turkish territorial waters, of which 62 are being loaded.

Before that, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation announced is holding a high-level meeting on the grain agreement in the near future. The ministry stressed that Russia is making efforts to ensure food security. It was also noted that many countries of the world would benefit from this if Moscow lifted the restrictions on agricultural exports and fertilizer exports.
