Moldovan dissidents vow to block travel to Chisinau on the day of the EU summit

The Moldovan opposition party “Shor” and other forces united in the anti-government “People’s Movement” have issued a resolution vowing to block roads in the Moldovan capital after the last thousands of protests in Chisinau. The day of the summit there, under the auspices of the EU, is 1 June. It has been reported TASS.

According to the opposition, the sole purpose of the EU summit in Chisinau will be to show support for President Maia Sandu.

“We are planning to close traffic on many transportation arteries to express our civic stance to other country representatives. The decision of the People’s Movement, the actions of the authorities during the crisis and the lack of money in the budget is like a feast during the plague, ”says.

On 1 June, Chisinau will host the European Political Community summit, a platform created by the European Union for the political coordination of European countries and dialogue with non-EU partners, including Ukraine and Moldova.
