The civic platform and its supporting media are urging everyone to march through Donald Tusk on June 4. However, it turns out that not all opposition politicians approach this event with enthusiasm. For example, former president Bronisław Komorowski, who also criticized the event itself, has other plans for this day. According to Izabela Leszczyna, “this will be a march where Komorowski is no more important than Kowalski”, and the former president will change his mind when he sees how many people took part in the march.
Komorowski is not going to march with Tusk
Let’s not forget that in an interview for “Wprost”, Bronisław Komorowski judged Tusk’s initiative quite harshly.
I regret that the beautiful anniversary of defeating communism by ballot becomes a source of confrontation and subject of rivalry between democratic forces, and not a signal of the strength of the democratic community in our country. I don’t think they have come up with a suitable way to celebrate with a joint initiative
– said Komorowski, adding that as far as his plans are concerned, his birthday is June 4.
I would like to visit my 101-year-old mother and thank her for being born 72 years ago. Of course, I would also like to participate in a party-transcending event to mark the birthday of June 4, 1989, and I do not lose hope that it will be possible
noted the former president.
Hazel: Komorowski will change his mind
Izabela Leszczyna was asked about Bronisław Komorowski’s words on Radio ZET. The PO MP said the former president “may have been having a bad day”.
This should be a march where Komorowski is no more important than Kowalski. I care about everyone the same. We do not send individual invitations to anyone
she said.
I think we forgive all former presidents a lot. President Komorowski may have had a bad day. Secondly, it seems to me that what the current president says and does is much more important and dangerous for Poland. I think President Komorowski will change his mind after June 4, when he sees how many people don’t have party colors. Do you know how many office calls I have? I have 120 people already asking if they should drive their cars because it’s a big expense, we have Obajtek, Orlen and high fuel prices. We arrange coaches
– argued the PO MP.
Journalist asking inappropriate questions?
The interviewer, Bogdan Rymanowski, also asked Izabela Leszczyna about the IBRiS poll for “Rzeczpospolita”, which shows that more than half of the respondents do not believe that the opposition parties are ready to take power.
When asked whether the opposition is ready to take over the government in Poland, 31 percent answered “absolutely not”. respondents, “probably not” 20 percent. surveyed, together accounting for 51 percent. In turn, “absolutely yes” corresponds to 11%, “rather yes” to 27%. respondents (a total of “yes” corresponds to 38%). On the other hand, “hard to say” equates to 11 percent.
When asked why Poles do not believe in the willingness of the opposition to take power, Leszczyna made absurd accusations.
It is you journalists of the free media who constantly whine and say: will this opposition unite or not, will it win or not. You create public opinion, you ask us such questions
– declared Izabela Leszczyna, convincingly that, in her opinion, the opposition is “absolutely” prepared for this.
