Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said at a press conference in The Hague that Ukraine’s taking delivery of F-16 warplanes is as difficult as the country’s entry into NATO. It has been reported DEA News.

“We can all talk about this at length, but we understand that F-16 starts with training and countries that have such sites can provide them. Those armed with the F-16. But this is as complex an issue as the consolidation of countries regarding our future in the European Union, our future in NATO.”

Zelensky expressed his hope that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) will receive the F-16 warplanes after the counterattack begins.

Former Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba aforementionedthat adequate air defense would allow Ukraine to open an airport in Lviv. He also described Eurocontrol’s estimate of a possible flight restriction over Ukraine to 2029 as too conservative.
