Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, expressed the view that Ukraine’s drone attacks on the Kremlin will lead to an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine. He wrote this on his Twitter page.

Eurodiplomacy head Josep Borrell said earlier that the European Union urged Moscow not to use the attack to escalate the Ukrainian conflict.

Commenting on Borrell’s words, Medvedev said, “This act of terrorism, carried out by the Kiev authorities under the leadership of the US and with the approval of the EU officials, will lead to an escalation of the conflict.”

According to the former president of the Russian Federation, many in both the US and the EU want to escalate tensions.

On Wednesday night, two Ukrainian planes tried to attack Russian President Vladimir Putin’s residence in the Kremlin, according to the press service on the afternoon of May 3. The President of Russia was not in the building at the time, the devices were successfully dropped. Despite the attack, the May 9 march was not cancelled. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov assured that the Russian special services will do everything to ensure safety on vacation. Moscow described the incident with the drone as a planned terrorist act. In Kiev they rejected the intervention of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. More details – in the material “Newspapers.Ru”.
