May 3 constitution is a real title for justified pride, we have something to be proud of and we should do it – wrote PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński in a letter to the participants of the 232nd anniversary of its adoption in Bydgoszcz .
A great achievement of Polish parliamentarism
The Constitution of 3 May was the first in the history of modern Europe and the second fundamental law in world history, and as such a right to legitimate pride. Therefore, we have something to be proud of and we should do it, and above all remind the world of this great achievement of our legal thinking and the great achievement of Polish parliamentarism
– emphasized the president of PiS in a letter read by MP Tomasz Latos.
Jarosław Kaczyński pointed out that it is necessary to keep in mind the circumstances of the time, the enormous difficulties faced by the process of reforming the Republic of Poland that began in the 1740s, and counteracting the recovery efforts of both the partitioning powers such as the internal opposition.
About the Day of the Constitution, the late Brother President of the Republic of Poland Lech Kaczyński said that we might as well call it the Day of the Restoration of the Republic, because the patriotism of everyday life, the daily efforts for the prosperity of our homeland and the public work are that the modern message of this May holiday is articulated. This is what the descendants of those who took care of building a strong and secure Republic of Poland more than 200 years ago would ask, if they could.
PiS leader pointed it out.
Proud of Poland’s history and achievements
Jarosław Kaczyński added that he wishes everyone that we, as citizens of the Republic of Poland, would be proud of our history and our achievements, and that in our daily activities we would always remember to take care of the common good.
Let Poland become stronger and stronger, and let Ukraine defeat the barbaric Russian aggressor as soon as possible, thus strengthening freedom in our part of Europe
– concluded the letter from the president of PiS.
The Marshal of the Sejm, Elżbieta Witek, also sent a letter to the participants of the May 3 celebration in Bydgoszcz, which was read by Member of Parliament Ewa Kozanecka.
The Constitution of May 3 restored Poland’s hope and sense of responsibility for their country and still remains a symbol of bold, innovative thinking about the shape of the Republic of Poland. Her legacy is an obligation and a challenge for us. In the Free Republic of Poland, we remember the work of the Four Year Sejm as a source of inspiration for actions out of concern for the common good
– wrote the Marshal of the Sejm.
