Politicians of Poland 2050 will participate in the “Walk for Democracy” march on the occasion of Constitution Day on May 3. “This walk aims to remind us all that nothing is given once and for all and that democracy must be defended every day,” Michał Kobosko, deputy chairman of the group, told PAP.
The Hołownia Party organizes the “Walk for Democracy

The march ends at 3.30 pm. The organizers of the event are Action Democracy and seniors of the University of the Third Age 2050, and the partner is the Committee for the Defense of Democracy.

Kobosko convinces: “We are not going to organize political campaigns”
Kobosko, in an interview with PAP, emphasized that the anniversary of the adoption of the May 3 Constitution is an extremely important date for Polish history, Polish democracy and for politicians of its formation.
We don’t live in the age of lonely superheroes. Democracy is strong through the strength of its institutions, such as the Supreme Court, the Constitutional Court, Parliament. It is healthy thanks to free media or control settings. These are our democratic fuses. In recent years, PiS has done everything it can to dismantle these fuses. Thanks to the resistance of society, he failed to carry out all his plans, but managed to undermine many of the achievements of the past 30 years. This walk aims to remind us that nothing is given once and for all and that democracy must be defended every day
Kobosko said.
He noted that there will be no speeches by politicians during the march.
We will not organize political campaigns
he assured. He added that the party’s politicians want to show respect for the tradition and legacy of the May 3 constitution and recall the values that are particularly important in the election year.
And will the politicians of Poland 2050 take part in the march next month – Donald Tusk’s manifestation on June 4? Time will tell.
3rd of May
May 3 National Day is celebrated on the anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of May 3 in 1791. The document was the first constitution in modern Europe and the second in the world after the American one. The anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution on May 3 is a public holiday established in 1919. During the period of the People’s Republic of Poland, its public celebration was banned and in 1990 it became a national holiday again.
