The Batory Foundation informs about the grants it has awarded as part of the fund to help Ukrainians in Poland. The portal wPolityce.pl has thoroughly analyzed this list of institutions. In addition to important and well-known organizations that have helped the Ukrainian diaspora in Poland since the beginning of the war, we also found the “Lambda” in Warsaw, which is said to deal with Ukrainian LGBT communities.

The fund, established in February 2022 after the Russian aggression against Ukraine, supports civil society organizations that provide assistance to people fleeing the war in Ukraine. In 2022, support from the Fund could be provided to named civil society organizations that have provided humanitarian, medical, legal, psychological, social and livelihood support to people crossing the border and support during their stay in Poland
– we read in the assumptions of the Batory Foundation’s program to help Ukrainians.
Indeed, most of the organizations that have received support from the foundation are those that deal with the most serious problems of our guests from Ukraine. “Batory” helps those who organize aid at the border and support refugees in Poland.
Rainbow camping?
We were all the more surprised when we found LGBT activists from Warsaw from “Lambda” – an organization that groups rainbow activists. What do they spend PLN 59,750 from the “Batory” Foundation on? This is also shocking.
Holding regular weekly integration meetings for the Ukrainian LGBTQIA group in the form of meetings coordinated by a person from Ukraine and organizing a five-day activist and integration camp for the Ukrainian-Polish group
– we read on the project website.
You can see that even in the most noble project, the Stefan Batory Foundation has to support those organizations that deal with the LGBT ideology. The question also arises whether the rainbow camp is the most needed support for Ukrainian refugees today.
