Ukraine’s Ambassador to London explains why the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not launch a counterattack

Vadym Prystaiko, Ukraine’s Ambassador to London, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) has not yet launched a counterattack at the front due to bad weather conditions. He said this in an interview weather.

“The weather is not yet allowing the heavy tanks to move,” he said.

Prystaiko also noted that Kiev does not intend to inform the Russian side of the “exact date and precise direction” of the counterattack.

On 2 May, retired LPR People’s Militia Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, citing Russian intelligence data, said that Ukraine could launch a counterattack by 9 May. According to him, “favorable weather conditions are expected by the end of the week, which will allow the armed formations of Ukraine to fully use the weapons and equipment provided by NATO countries.”
