What will happen to the Poland 2050 celebration? Or maybe we should ask what’s going on with Szymon Hołownia as the leader of the group he himself brought to life. The election campaign has not yet had time to accelerate and Poland 2050 is already wilting, like an unwatered young flower. And it is thanks to his leader, if we take literally the role his boss should play in a political organization.
The sad situation of Hołownia
It would seem that it would be easy to blame his leader’s closest associates for Poland’s crisis in 2050, especially Michał Kobosko, recently a journalist, who today tries to step into the shoes of a politician. I prefer a simple assumption that makes the matter clear and unambiguous: the head of any organization is responsible for performance, but also for failure. A party leader’s political qualifications are also evidenced by the ability to build a team of close associates, advisers and experts. When I look at Szymon Hołownia’s activities, I sometimes get the impression that he did not choose his collaborators, but that they chose him. Delighted by the relatively high level of support in the presidential election, with a complete political amateur getting more than 13 percent, giving him third place in this race – after Andrzej Duda and Rafał Trzaskowski – they decided it was necessary to use this , which in turn could greatly aid their own interests. But let’s disregard unverifiable versions and let’s try to look at the sad situation of the former host of banal TV shows.
Alliance with PSL – yes or no?
If I were to hypothesize every month about the reasons for Poland’s weakening position in 2050, visible in the systematic decline in polls of support for political parties, I would cite Szymon Hołownia’s instability first and foremost. The starting point for such a picture of the personality profile, colloquially called character, is the indecision, which has been going on for many weeks, whether or not to enter into an electoral alliance with PSL. Under what circumstances, when to make a decision that breaks through weeks of fluctuations.
A major obstacle to effective negotiations with PSL is reportedly Szymon Hołownia’s lack of ability to exploit his ambitions. Namely – as reported by unverified media sources, the leader of Poland 2050 has too high ambitions regarding possible places on joint lists with his potential ally. In doing so, he greatly overestimates the position and political weight of his party.
If we add to this – in such a politically “seismographic” period sensitive to any tremor – we add internal conflicts in the party, which resemble splits – Szymon Hołownia’s situation could not be much worse.
Especially if you read the words of the rebels:
We cannot agree to place party or personal interests ahead of the interests of the entire democratic community.
Whose personal interest might it be about? O horror! No leader?
